Daylight Solutions, Inc., has received two new awards for their Spero™ microscope. Spero was awarded the 6th Annual Microscopy Today Innovation Award and was also named a finalist in the 2015 R&D 100 Awards taking place later this year.
The winners of the Microscopy Today Innovation Awards were announced last week at the Microscopy and Microanalysis Conference in Portland, OR, USA. The awards recognise outstanding innovations across a broad range of microscopy techniques and products. Daylight Solutions’ Spero was recognised for enabling real-time chemical imaging for the first time in a mid-infrared microscope.
Spero was also recently announced as a finalist in the 2015 R&D 100 Awards. The R&D 100 Awards, often described as “The Oscars of Invention,” are awarded to the top technology products of the year across industry, academia, and government-sponsored research. The final winners will be announced at an awards gala in November.
