Magritek’s new Spinsolve Multi X benchtop NMR spectrometer can access multiple nuclei in a fully automatic way. All models measure 1H and 19F, with other X nuclei optionally available: 7Li, 11B, 12C, 15N, 29Si and 31P (others may be available on request). The spectrometer provides instant switching between nuclei without any loss of sensitivity, and no manual intervention is needed to switch. Both a powerful multi-line solvent suppression method and X-decoupled proton acquisition for all available X nuclei are included. 1D and 2D experiments are calibrated at the factory, so it is possible to switch back and forth without recalibration. The ability to interleave multinuclear experiments enables online reaction monitoring. An extensive software library of pre-calibrated protocols is provided for all available nuclei.
Pulsed field gradient (PFG) experiments are useful to assess the molecular mobility of different molecules dissolved in a mixture. By adding a gradient coil to the Spinsolve Multi X, it can measure the diffusion coefficient of molecules containing any of the nuclei available on the spectrometer.
